The Diocesan Museum, set up on the first floor of the Bishopry, was established by the Archbishop  Mariano Magrassi on June 7th 1981, in order to preserve, enhance and promote the knowledge of the historical-art heritage coming from the Cathedral of Saint Sabin, from the diocesan territory and from donations. The visit of the museum is organized in  five sections:  the lapidarium, the picture gallery, the treasure, the sacred vestments and the characteristic rolls of the Exultets. In addition to this there is a centre of documetation, represented by a specialized library and archival documents.
