The archaeological itinerary of Bari underground lasts a little more than an hour and thirty minutes, and starts from the Swabian Castle, with the visit to a large Byzantine settlement and then it continues to the Crypt of the Cathedral of Saint Sabin, with the ancient paleochristian  high Middle Ages Basilica, enriched with the famous mosaic dating back to the 6th century B.C.
Then you reach the archaelogical area of Palazzo Simi, Operational Centre for Archaeology in Bari, with the monumental remains of two churches superimposed on each other, of Byzantine and Romanesque origin, respectively.
