Tzatziki is a sauce of Greek origin, the main ingredient of which is thick yogurt, it is much used  also in the Albanian, Bulgarian and Turkish cuisine. It is easy to guess that this condiment, characterized by a fresh taste, was born among shepherds, and the tradition says that this recipe was born among the ancient Greek people who during the hot summer seasons used to consume this fresh sauce to season and accompany the other dishes such as meat, vegetables, grilled fish dishes, etc.

Tzatziki  recipe is very easy and provides a few fresh ingredients: natural thick yogurt, fresh cucumber, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper, lemon (or vinegar). There are some little variations to this recipe, such as that from Paxos, which provides the addition of dill.
