From the traditional agricultural production of figs and almonds comes a simple dessert which is rich in history and taste. It has been linked in recent years to the territory of San Michele Salentino thanks to various promotional initiatives. The processing requires drying locally produced figs in the sun, roasting the local almonds and cooking in wood-fired ovens.
